"Holly Jolly" Christmas Parade

Posted by Lacey Butner on 12/06/2015

The “Holly Jolly” Christmas Parade was such a success! We had over 40 entries and we loved seeing our Main Street filled with the community of Seminole with the Christmas spirit!  Many thanks to the City of Seminole, Seminole Police Department, Seminole Fire Department, Jimmie Austin Golf Course, the panel of judges, Grand Marshal, Seminole Main Street promotions committee, and all the participants! This was our biggest parade yet and we are so thankful for your participation and support!

This year’s Grand Marshal was Mike Snyder. Snyder was chosen for his continuous support, involvement and passion for Seminole. Snyder led the parade in a convertible Ford Mustang, provided by Seminole Ford. The float winners were as follows: 1st place, Immanuel Fellowship Church; 2nd place, Pam Robinson Real Estate; and, 3rd place, Enviro Systems.

We would also like to thank the following businesses for participating in our Deck the Downtown window and building decorating contest. Seminole Main Street will present each winner with a $50 gift certificate to a downtown business of their choice.  Best Window or Storefront goes to Clausing’s Farm Center and Best Building goes to Trellis Cards & Gifts. Congratulations and thank you to all the businesses that decorated for the holiday season.

Seminole Main Street is partnering with OneMain Financial and the Seminole Humane Society for SANTA PAWS! Bring your furry friends to see us Monday, December 7th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will be a pre-decorated gingerbread house contest, dog costume and trick contest and more! Help us support our local animal shelter and Humane Society!

2015 is quickly coming to an end and we would love to spend it with you at our New Year’s Eve Extravaganza! There will be a live band, food and drinks, dancing, a silent auction and more! Tickets are going fast and we don’t want you to miss the best night of the year!
