The Architect, Larry Lucas

Posted by Lacey Butner on 04/01/2016

Seminole Main Street was thrilled to welcome Larry Lucas, architect from Oklahoma Main Street, to Seminole on Friday, April 1. Vickie Carter and daughter Vashawnda Carter, current façade grant participants, and Lucas were able to discuss the potential restoration of Vickie’s Nutrition Store and the building for Loaves and Fishes and adjacent business. Lucas was able to present design suggestions, awning colors and ways to restore historical characteristics for each building.

The Oklahoma Main Street Center provides training, resources, architectural design, and technical assistance for preservation-based commercial district revitalization. We are thankful that Seminole Main Street merchants are able to participate and utilize the free services offered by the Oklahoma Main Street Center in ways to enhance our downtown. We look forward to the suggestions Lucas has made to improve our District and we are delighted to see the transformations taking place. Great things are coming to Seminole Main Street!
